IMPROV

girl moves to LA, girl tries improv for the first time, girl suddenly finds herself surrounded by a community of like-minded clowns. this is by far the newest art form to me and easily the most nerve-wracking, having only started a year ago. but i’m enjoying musical improv and long-form narrative improv.

i’ve performed with teams at the clubhouse, the pack theater, and outside in. i’ve also taken classes at outside in as well as westside comedy.

as far as improvisational philosophy goes, i find david razowsky an inspiration: stay focused on the present moment, and let relational power dynamics and authentic feelings that come up guide the scene.
